Marketing Research Definition
Marketing research is the function that connects the consumer, customer, and public to the marketer via information—information that is used to identify and define marketing opportunities and problems; to generate, refine, and evaluate marketing actions; to monitor marketing performance; and to improve overall understanding of marketing as a process. Marketing research defines the data required to address these issues, develops the data collection method, controls and performs the data collection process, analyses the results, and conveys the findings and their consequences. A brand is any name, term, design, symbol, or another distinguishing element that distinguishes the goods or services of one vendor from those of other sellers.
According to the ISO brand standards, a brand is an “intangible asset” designed to generate “distinctive images and associations in the minds of stakeholders, consequently producing economic benefit/values.”
1. Marketing Through Influencers.
According to the Association of National Advertisers (ANA), influencer marketing is all about harnessing individuals who have influence over potential consumers and centering marketing operations around them in order to spread a brand message to a bigger market.
Rather than directly promoting to a large number of consumers, influencer marketing involves a brand inspiring or compensating influencers (who can include celebrities, content creators, customer advocates, and workers) to spread the word on their behalf.
2. Marketing through Relationships
Relationship marketing, according to the Association of National Advertisers (ANA), refers to strategies and tactics for segmenting consumers in order to foster loyalty.
Relationship marketing combines database marketing, behavioral advertising, and analytics in order to accurately target consumers and build loyalty programs.
3. Marketing Viral
Viral marketing is a form of marketing that enables and encourages people to spread a marketing message.
The term “viral” was coined because the number of people exposed to a message resembles the manner by which a virus or disease spreads from person to person.
4. Environmental Marketing
Green marketing is the term used to describe the process of developing and selling items that are assumed to be ecologically friendly (i.e., designed to minimize negative effects on the physical environment or to improve its quality).
Additionally, this phrase may be used to refer to initiatives to make, promote, package, and reclaim items in an environmentally conscious or responsive manner.
5. Marketing by Keywords
Keyword marketing is the practice of displaying a marketing message to consumers depending on the precise keywords and phrases they use to search.
A significant advantage of this strategy is that it enables marketers to contact the appropriate audience with the appropriate message at the appropriate time. For many advertisers, keyword marketing entails the placement of an advertisement in response to the entry of specific terms.

6. Marketing by Guerilla
Guerilla marketing is a term that refers to an unorthodox and innovative marketing technique that focuses on maximizing results with minimal resources.
7. Marketing that is outbound
Outbound marketing is a more recent phrase for traditional marketing that was coined following the popularity of the term inbound marketing.
Outbound marketing is when a marketer contacts a customer by techniques such as television, radio, or digital display advertising.
It is frequently utilized to increase consumer knowledge of and affinity for a brand.
8. Marketing that attracts customers
Inbound marketing is a type of marketing in which clients contact the marketer in response to various strategies employed to capture their attention. Email marketing, event marketing, content marketing, and web design are just a few of the strategies available.
One goal of inbound marketing, which includes content marketing, is to position the firm as a source of useful information and solutions to problems, thereby encouraging consumer trust and loyalty.
