Ingredients

  • 3 peeled kiwi fruit
  • 1 mango , peeled, stoned and chopped
  • 500ml pineapple juice
  • 1 banana , sliced

Method

  • STEP 1

    Put all of the ingredients in a blender and blitz until smooth then pour into 2 tall glasses.

RECIPE TIP

Keep a slice of kiwi fruit back to garnish the inside of the glass or top with a sprig of fresh mint.

Goes well with

2. Mango Lassi

Ingredients

  • 3-4 ripe mangoes (honey mangoes if possible)
  • 500g natural yogurt
  • a pinch ground cardamom (crush the seeds from 1-2 pods)
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 2 limes , juiced, to taste

Method

  • STEP 1

Put all the ingredients apart from the lime juice in a food processor and blitz. Add the lime juice along with a pinch of salt, to taste, if the cardamom isn’t strong enough then add a little more, then pour into glasses with some ice cubes and serve.

RECIPE TIPS

  • Use frozen mango pieces instead of the ice

  • Sali murghi
  • Coriander & mint raita
  • Chana masala

3. Water Melon Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 150g watermelon, peeled and chopped
  • 1 small banana, peeled and sliced
  • 100ml cold apple juice

Method

  • STEP 1

    Blitz the watermelon in a blender with the banana and apple juice until smooth.

  • STEP 2

    Pour the smoothie into a tall glass and serve immediately.

Goes well with

  • Pineapple smoothie
  • Watermelon daiquiri
  • Raspberry mojito
